Linsay – The California Transplant
I got to know Linsay, pronounced Lindsey, while she was on her break. If this Barista doesn’t look familiar to you, it’s most likely due to the fact she is brand new. She is a true California girl who just recently moved to the east coast. A few of her friends, two being youth pastors, are helping start a Grace Covenant satelitte church in Charlotte. They asked Linsay if she would like to help out and since she was looking for a change she happily agreed. She left her nanny job in California and admits that working at Starbucks is her first “real” job. So far, she really enjoys the job which allows her to meet new people and future friends. Wanting to finish her education, Linsay is going to attend UNCC where she plans on either getting her education or nursing degree. During her last nursing internship she helped out in a surgery which involved the removal of a cancerus lung… I’m pretty sure she doesn’t smoke. Linsay did admit to missing the ocean but I’m sure by next summer she will be out at the Sandbar having a great time. I can already see that she is a great addition to the Birkdale community. Her favorite thing about Birkdale… “The people here are so relaxed”.
